A man in Umeå has been taken to hospital with suspected gunshot wounds, according to the police.
The man was found in the East district of town at around 7pm on Monday.
– We have been contacted about this injured man, there are suspected gunshot wounds, says Åsa Mjörndal, press spokesperson at the police.
The man’s injury status is unclear. No one has been arrested.
– We have located a crime scene and will hear any witnesses, make any seizures and of course search for a suspected perpetrator, says Mjörndal.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder. The police have blocked off a place between central Umeå and the university hospital.
