Man who opened airplane door up in the air: Wanted to get out fast

The passenger who opened an emergency exit on an airplane during the journey has now given his explanation:
He wanted to get out quickly.
The man risks ten years in prison.

The plane was coming in to land in Daegu, South Korea when the man opened an emergency exit – 200 meters up in the air.. The man felt the flight was taking longer than it should and felt he was suffocating inside the cabin, a police officer added AFP.

Several people had to be taken to hospital after having difficulty breathing, but no one is said to have been seriously injured in connection with the incident. The aircraft, with around 200 people on board, was able to land safely.

The man has said during questioning that he felt stressed when he recently lost his job. He now faces up to ten years in prison.

In a video clip of the incident, passengers are seen fluttering by the strong wind.
