A man in his 50s thought he was going on a date at Falu Mine.
Instead, several men were waiting on the spot who forced his clothes off, robbed him and threatened to cut open his stomach.
– I have never been so scared in my entire life as I was then, says the man in questioning.
It all took place in the summer of 2019, which The Falu courier was the first to report on – just over four years later the verdict is now coming.
The man had come into contact with a woman via the Kik app, whom he had also spoken to on the phone at one point, and who had asked him to meet her at the mining area.
At the scene, a car was waiting for the man and suddenly the car door was pulled open. Two masked men jumped out, pointed a knife at the man’s face and forced him into the back seat. The man was also forced to hand over his phone, codes and bank card.
One of the perpetrators threatened to stick the knife in his eye and cut open his stomach, while also explaining in detail how it would all happen. In some cases the man was forced to make money transfers, in other cases the perpetrators themselves withdrew cash from his accounts.
Pictures from the preliminary investigation show how one of the perpetrators holds a knife against another.

Lay down and counted to 100
Before the perpetrators left the scene, they forced him to take off all his clothes except his underpants. He then had to lie on the ground and count to 100.
– I have never been so scared in my entire life as I was then, says the man in questioning.
The robbery went on for almost an hour and the perpetrators made off with SEK 56,000.
The police can later determine that six people were involved in the robbery, after several of them were caught by surveillance cameras when they withdrew the man’s money at different ATMs. One of the suspects is a woman who, according to herself, was used to trick the robbed man.
The woman states in the interrogation that she was asked to call a number and flirt a little and say “see you soon”, and says that she also did so without asking questions because she thought it was an innocent joke.
“They made horsida”
It is only later that she should have understood that she had been taken advantage of, she says herself.
– I know exactly what they did now. They made sex pages and found some girl who could verify herself. Then they went and robbed the guy, she says in questioning.
The man says that he subsequently got the feeling that the woman might be looking to sell sex, but that that was not why he wanted to meet her.
The woman, like the other suspects, denies the crime.
– So, if it was a planned thing, that now I’m going to come and rob a guy
then I would have done it much smarter than that, I think. Now I’ve just become
cheated, she says in questioning.
Over 200,000 in damages
The district court does not buy the woman’s explanation, as she also received SEK 8,000 that evening, and was seen on one of the surveillance videos. She is sentenced to probation for aiding and abetting a robbery, at Falu district court.
A further four perpetrators are convicted of robbery, aiding and abetting robbery and money laundering. A man is cleared of suspicion. None of them receive prison terms as punishment.
The robbed man receives just over 200,000 kroner in damages.
