He was able to be arrested after a witness raised the alarm about a person with “deviant behavior”. At the scene, the police found a suspected dangerous object which was later assessed as sharp.
The police bomb squad has investigated the object. Chief prosecutor Torsten Angervåg has said in an earlier press release that “the object could have posed a great danger to both people and property”.
In addition to preparation for public destruction, the man is suspected of gross violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
A custody hearing is scheduled in Norrköping district court during Friday afternoon.
