At 20.55 on Friday evening, the police received a call that a man had fallen from a great height into a shop in central Uppsala.
– We do not know exactly what has happened, but it seems that there was an event on a roof and something exploded so that the person fell into a shop below, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson for the police.
Broke the box to help
People outside broke the window of the store to get in to the person and start helping.
The man, who is in his 30s, has been taken to hospital, the extent of his injuries is currently unclear.
– It happened right on the pedestrian street, and it’s Friday evening, so there were many people moving around in the area, Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson at the police at 11 p.m.
The police then remain at the scene and talk to witnesses.
