The incident occurred in Strängnäs in September 2022, when the man, among other things, tied up a 13-year-old girl. He also strangled the girl’s mother when she tried to alert the police.
The man managed to leave Sweden after the incident, but was arrested just over a year later, in November 2023. In addition to the prison sentence, the man is sentenced to deportation, reports SVT News Sörmland.
