A 35-year-old man who was arrested in Germany on suspicion of the murder of a taxi driver in Bergsjön in Gothenburg last fall will be extradited to Sweden, reports Göteborgs-Posten.

– We will get him here now, in the near future, says prosecutor Helena Treiberg Claeson to the newspaper.

The victim was found dead outside his taxi on October 16. He had just parked after finishing his shift when he was shot.

In November, the suspect was arrested in his absence. He was wanted internationally and was arrested a few hours later in Germany.

The fact that the extradition to Sweden took six months is due to the fact that the suspect appealed the extradition request and has referred to a bad mental state, according to the prosecutor.

The man has not yet been able to be interviewed by the Swedish police.

– The state of evidence is very stable, says prosecutor Helena Treiberg Claeson to GP.
