A man has been struck by lightning during a round of golf in Falkenberg, reports Hallands Nyheter.
The golf club in question confirms to the newspaper that a serious accident occurred during the morning.
– It was a lightning strike that came out of nowhere. It wasn’t even raining, then we heard a huge bang, says club manager Mikael Norman to HN.
Ambulance and emergency services have been on site.
Hans-Jörgen Ostler, press spokesperson for the police in the West region, says that an alarm came in about a cardiac arrest at a golf club in Falkenberg just before 11 a.m. on Monday.
– But I don’t know what the reason for the cardiac arrest is, I don’t know anything about it being lightning, he says.
