According to the news of Macrumors, a man stranded in a rural area of the US state of Alaska was rescued safely using the iPhone 14’s Emergency SOS with Satellite feature.
State officials reportedly received a warning early in the morning on 1 December that the man traveling in a snowmobile from Noorvik to Kotzebue was stranded. It was learned that the man, who was stated to be in a cold and distant place where he could not establish any connection, activated the Emergency SOS feature on his iPhone 14 with the Satellite to inform the authorities.
While it is reported that Apple’s new feature is available in North America for now, it was informed that it will soon come to France, Germany, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
