Man stabs his girlfriend to death – claims to have acted in self-defence

Man stabs his girlfriend to death claims to have

The woman was found dead in the apartment late one evening in May this year with stab wounds to the neck, among other things. Earlier in the evening, the man had been arrested outside the home when he was heavily drunk and stabbed cars in a parking lot with a knife.

When the woman, with whom the man had a relationship, was later found dead, suspicions were directed at him.

The man has objected that he acted in self-defence, but the Nacka District Court considers this to be out of the question with reference to, among other things, the extent and location of the woman’s injuries.

The man claims to have memory gaps from the incident

He has also argued that he had a memory lapse during parts of the sequence of events and that he should therefore not be held responsible for the woman’s death. However, the district court believes that there are several circumstances after the death that speak against that argument.

“The conclusion is that the man was aware of his actions and intended to kill the woman,” Nacka District Court writes in a press release.
