A 35-year-old man was severely assaulted in central Västervik on Tuesday evening.
It was when the man came into the hospital with stab or cut injuries that the police were alerted.
– We do not believe that he has caused the injuries to himself, so we go there and hold an interview with the man. We have also knocked on doors to collect witness information, says Evelina Olsson, police spokesperson.
A report of serious assault is drawn up. The police have no suspects in the crime.
