A man has been taken to hospital by ambulance after being stabbed in central Västerås in connection with a riot, the police write on their website.
The man must not be life-threateningly injured.
The alarm came shortly after midnight and several police patrols participated in the operation during the night.
The police will conduct a technical investigation of the crime scene.
No one has been arrested.
