At 05:00 the police went to Ulvsunda in western Stockholm because a man had been shot to death in his home by one or more perpetrators.
– The police can confirm that the man was shot in direct connection to his home, which in this case is a balcony, says police spokesperson Rebecca Landberg to TV4 Nyheterna.
Relatives have been notified.
A large police operation has been launched to investigate what happened. The police carry out a technical investigation, hold interviews and take stock of whether the incident may have been caught on film.
– There are many patrols working at the scene. It has to do with the ongoing forensic investigation. Several patrols are working intensively with investigative measures, she says.
Perpetrator is hunted
The police have not yet arrested anyone for the murder.
– There is no arrest or suspect in the case, says Rebecca Landberg.
It is unclear whether the shooting can be linked to the ongoing wave of violence.
– Right now this is seen as a separate event, but we are not ruling anything out. The preliminary investigation must determine that, say the police.
