A man in his 30s has been shot to death in the Dalaberg area of Uddevalla, the police say.
We can confirm that we have a murder after a shooting, says Johan Ljung, officer on duty at the police.
It was a passerby who found the man outside on the street, and called 112 at 10:30 p.m. Then the alarm came in as a suspected cardiac arrest – but the police soon suspected that he had been the victim of a violent crime.
The man was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
We also received confirmation from the hospital that he had a gunshot wound, says Johan Ljung.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder. A police operation is underway at the scene and a large area is cordoned off.
We work with interrogations and door knocking. We will also bring dogs there that can search for a possible weapon, says Johan Ljung.
As far as I know, we haven’t found any casings so far either, he adds.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
