Man shot in his home – suffered life-threatening injuries

Late on Thursday evening, a 35-year-old man was shot in his home in Bohus, outside Gothenburg. The alarm came to the police at 10.30 p.m.

– The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by relatives, says Johan Josarp, the police officer on duty.

– No other person has been physically injured in the shooting.

The perpetrator(s) who shot the man disappeared from the crime scene and are now being chased by several police patrols.

No known network connections

According to the police, the man should not have any known connections to the criminal networks that exist around Gothenburg.

Is the shot man known to the police from before in some other way?

– We are investigating what happened, and I do not want to comment on this at the moment.

The victim’s residence is cordoned off until further notice.

What efforts are you making now?

– We carry out a technical investigation on site, interrogate relatives and knock on doors to see if we can get more information about what happened.
