A man in Härnösand was shot in the leg during the night by the police, the police write on their website.
Just before 3 a.m., the police responded to an alarm about a man making an appearance in a stairwell. Once at the scene, the man is said to have moved towards the police with “the attachment in his hands”, and the police then shot at the man.
The man was hit in the leg and was taken to hospital with unclear injuries. He was arrested during the night on suspicion of serious threat to an official and attempted serious violence against an official.
Police shots were also reported according to existing routine and will be investigated.
