It was in February last year that the man with various kinds of certificates allegedly tried to defraud CSN of a total of SEK 65,766 in study funds, for four months of studies. According to the indictment, he allegedly falsified an acceptance letter from a university in Adelaide in South Australia.
Officers at CSN sensed owls in the bog and were able to uncover the scam by contacting universities.
The accused denies the crime.
