Undressed, tied and tied, the man is said to have been subjected to a protracted and torture-like beating.
The assaults were filmed – with the goal of getting over 6,000 kroner.
Now three men are charged with a series of serious crimes.
According to the indictment, the day of terror begins at the end of March earlier this year, when a man is ordered to get into a car in Halmstad. Several men are waiting in the vehicle, who then take him to an apartment in the same municipality.
Once there, a series of abuses against the man begins, with strong elements of humiliation, while large parts are filmed by the suspected men.
Among other things, the man receives blows to the face, at the same time as a screwdriver is aimed at the temple. In another scene, the man sits undressed on a plastic bag on the floor with his wrists tied and a dog leash around his neck, while the man filming eats chips and threatens him with death.
Burned on the forehead and ashen in the mouth
The torture then continues with the man being branded on the forehead and hand, forced to kiss the perpetrators’ feet and having ashes thrown in his mouth.
“The crime should be assessed as extremely serious because the act has entailed extreme suffering as it has caused a strong fear of death or other strong,” writes the prosecutor in the lawsuit.
In questioning, the man says that he feared for his life and that during the time in the apartment he felt that he would not get out of there alive.
Debt of a few thousand
The background to the kidnapping and the protracted beating is said to be due to a debt of a few thousand Swedish kroner, where the versions differ between the defendants and the plaintiffs.
The beaten man suffered burns, skin scrapings, a broken nose, several rib fractures and a concussion, among other things.
The three accused men, who are all aged 25, are suspected of, among other things, aggravated unlawful threats, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and extremely aggravated assault. All defendants deny any wrongdoing.
