A man in his 40s died in a scooter accident on Thursday evening. The man was crossing a watercourse in the municipality of Berg in southern Jämtland around 9:30 p.m., when his scooter suddenly stalled.
– He must have flown off the scooter and partially ended up in the water and the scooter got stuck and started to rotate, says Mathias Boring, commander of the police region North.
When emergency services arrived at the scene, the man was found dead. Next of kin have been notified.
