Man kidnapped – shot as he tried to escape

A man in his 20s was kidnapped on Tuesday evening in Salem, south of Stockholm. In connection with his attempt to escape, he was shot by two young perpetrators, who were later arrested. It was around 03.00 last night that the man was found shot near a residential building. The police assume that he had traveled by car from Salem to Haninge municipality. – But I don’t know which route they took right now, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson at the police. The police say that the man was taken to hospital by ambulance, but is said to not have life-threatening injuries. – We could hear him on the spot before he was taken to hospital, says Mats Eriksson. Two minors arrested Around 05:00 on Wednesday morning, two people were arrested, suspected of kidnapping, extremely serious assault and serious weapons offences. – We have had several resources on site and in connection with that we have arrested two young people.
