On a street in Ystad, the man in his 70s got an unusual surprise on Tuesday morning. Because inside his villa he was not alone – in the bathroom stood a stranger.
– The unknown man said he needed to borrow the toilet, says municipal police officer Patric Nihlén to Ystad Allehanda.
The intruder said he entered through the main entrance. But the homeowner knew that door was locked.
The jump: Caught on camera
– The man threw the unknown man out into the hall. He then ran out the patio door and disappeared.
A preliminary investigation into attempted burglary was opened but dropped due to lack of evidence.
– If new information or images from surveillance cameras are received, the case can be taken up again, says Fredrik Bratt, police spokesperson Syd.
