The murder victim is a man in his 60s who was found injured after police were called to an apartment in the residential area. He later died of his injuries.
As a reason for detention, senior prosecutor Catharina Kjelsson states that there is a risk that the man suspected of murder will remove evidence or complicate the investigation in other ways if he is released.
The man has been detained together with a 35-year-old man since Monday, but the younger man has now been released according to Catharina Kjelsson. The murder suspect denies the crime.
The detention hearing will be held after lunch on Thursday.
