A man in his 40s is detained by the Lund district court on suspicion of murdering a child in Eslöv. The man is detained on the higher level of suspicion, probable cause.
– He denies the criminal suspicion of murder, says chamber prosecutor Josefin Sävlund.
It was last Friday that the child was found lifeless in an apartment. In connection with that, the man who is now in custody was arrested. The child was later pronounced dead at a hospital in Lund.
– They have had a relationship with each other, says Josefin Sävlund.
Charges must be filed by December 23 at the latest.
– We will turn over every stone to map what happened, says Josefin Sävlund.
