A man wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants faces more charges after being arrested by Brantford Police.
The Cambridge man, traveling by taxi in the area of King George Road and Dunsdon Street on Thursday, fled on foot when police initiated a traffic stop.
The man was apprehended after a short foot chase, said Brantford police.
At the time of the arrest, police allege the man was in possession of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, with a combined street value of $26,240, as well as drug paraphernalia and Canadian currency.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with failing to comply with a judicial release order and three counts of drug possession.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation was led by members of the Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team.
