Brant OPP said Friday that a 50-year-old Toronto man is facing further charges in a crash late last year that claimed the life of a Norfolk County man.
Police said Shabbir Habib Dossa is charged with being impaired by alcohol and drugs, have a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit, operation of a vehicle causing death and operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
He earlier was charged dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
The crash involved two sport utility vehicles on Highway 24 South in Brant County at about 10 pm on Dec. 18.
Killed in the crash was 40-year-old Norman Tate, who was the driver of one SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in his vehicle was seriously injured.
Dossa was treated for minor injuries.
