Man faces charge after allegedly throwing rock

Stolen vehicle investigation leads to arrest

A 56-year-old man reportedly became upset with a passing motor vehicle on Friday and allegedly threw a rock, breaking a window at a nearby business, Chatham-Kent police said.

The man was charged with mischief under $5,000 and released with a court date.

Failure to remain

Police responded to a fail-to-remain collision on Park Street in Chatham.

A brown Ford Mustang left the roadway and struck a hydro pole causing approximately $5,000 dollars in damage, police said.

Impaired driving charge

Police received a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Brabaw Street in Wallaceburg.

Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Through investigation, police believed the female driver’s ability to operate a vehicle was impaired by alcohol and she was arrested. She was transported to headquarters for further breath testing.

The 21-year-old Wallaceburg women was charged with operation while impaired, as well as having a blood-alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was released with a short date.
