A man has died in a drowning accident in the Torne river in Pajala municipality. This is what the police write on their website.
The man was in his 70s and a native of Finland. The accident occurred when he was out with a boat together with another person.
The police do not suspect any crime in connection with the incident.
The alarm about the accident came in to the police at 4 pm on Friday.
