A man in his 20s has died in a paragliding accident in the Stockholm area.
– How the accident itself happened is unclear, but it is a person who has crashed and had the engine run over him, says police spokesperson Rebecca Landberg.
The alarm about the accident came at 2.15 pm on Sunday. The man’s equipment is described by the police as “parachute with motor”. He was flying out from a high altitude when something went wrong and he crashed.
Several people saw the accident, including the young man’s relatives. The police have collected information at the scene, but it is unclear whether there will be a further investigation.
