The accident happened shortly before 12 o’clock on Friday. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the police.
Next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the passenger car escaped uninjured and is being investigated for negligence in traffic and grossly causing the death of another.
Both vehicles have been impounded for technical examination.
