A man in his 40s has died after being hit in a competition with a hovercraft on a lake in Huddinge south of Stockholm, according to the police.
A preliminary investigation into negligence in maritime traffic and causing the death of another has been launched to investigate whether any crime has been committed. Two hovercrafts have been seized and will undergo a technical examination. There are also videos of the accident that the police will review.
Many people witnessed the accident on Friday afternoon. Huddinge municipality has activated its posom group (for mental and social care).
