The police were called to the scene at 6:05 p.m., after reports of loud bangs. The injured person was found at the scene. An ambulance is also on site.

The man is said to be dead, according to Aftonbladet.

– Ambulance has worked with life-saving measures. There is currently no forecast as to when we will leave the area. We will probably be on site for several hours because it is such a serious event, says Anna Stålhuvudpolice spokesperson, to the newspaper.

A witness told Aftonbladet that she heard several bangs.

“Terrible”

– I heard two loud bangs and then I saw lots of police cars. It was very scary.

Several of the witnesses cannot go home because of the police cordon.

– Now they won’t let us in where we live. It’s completely cordoned off and you can’t get home, says a witness to the newspaper.

The man with the gunshot wound was not conscious when the police arrived at the scene.

A large area has been cordoned off and several patrols are in the area. The police carry out a technical investigation, knock on doors and question any witnesses.
