The man who was shot on January 6 in Linköping has died, Corren reports.
The man in his 20s was taken by ambulance to hospital and underwent emergency surgery with life-threatening injuries after being found outside with suspected gunshot wounds, but has now died.
– This also means that we reclassified the incident as murder, says police spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson to the newspaper.
The police have investigated whether the shooting on January 6 can be linked to ongoing gang conflicts. The man is said to have been known to the police since before and was considered to have gang connections, writes Corren.
No one has been arrested for the crime.
