The man who was shot in Fittja south of Stockholm on Thursday evening is dead, the police write on their website. The man is in his 30s.
The alarm about explosions came around a quarter past nine. The man was found inside the restaurant and resuscitation attempts were made.
According to Nadya Norton, press spokesperson for the police, the assessment is that the man was shot in connection with the premises, not inside it.
– Investigation of the location continues, says Nadya Norton.
She does not want to comment on whether anyone has been arrested or on any suspicions about the perpetrators or the type of weapon used. Investigative work and tracking is ongoing.
Relatives have been notified and the preliminary investigation that has been started has now been classified as murder.
