The police received a call at 7:20 p.m. about the shooting at the school. Witnesses had seen several people running from the scene. Some left there on mopeds.
– We have not located any perpetrators yet. But we are searching the area with police officers on foot, dogs, drones and helicopters, says Mats Öhman, press spokesperson at the Bergslagen police region.
According to P4 Örebro, the murdered man is in his 30s and is said to have gang connections in Örebro.
Photographer Pavel Koubek is there and says that the atmosphere is calm.
– The police are questioning witnesses and residents nearby, he says.
“Didn’t understand what it was”
A resident nearby tells TV4 Nyheterna that he heard four bangs.
– But I don’t know what gunshots sound like, so I didn’t understand what it was at first. The neighbor says it was sex, says the person and continues:
– I always say that it is the most peaceful area in the world, but I must never say that again.
Press spokesperson Mats Öhman says that the police’s work in the area will continue throughout the night.
