A man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault in relation to an incident from last year.
Two female youths were sexually assaulted in Delhi on May 27, 2021.
The two youths were sitting at a local swimming pond off of William Street when three adults approached the area. One of the adults was accused of sexually assaulting the youths. At the time, the other two adults were swimming nearby.
Last week, members of the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit arrested a 33-year-old man from Manchester, Jamaica. He has been charged with two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age and two counts of sexual interference.
The accused is being held in custody and is slated to appear in court at a later date, said police.
