Chatham-Kent police encountered a man in Wallaceburg Thursday known to have a warrant for his arrest.
While searching him, the man was reportedly found to be in possession of a switch blade. The man has a lifetime weapons ban as part of a previous conviction, police said.
The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for the warrant, possession of a prohibited weapon and breach of conditions. He was held for bail.
Multiple ugly loads
Police received a call Thursday about a man at a King Street bar who reportedly refused to leave.
The man allegedly threatened to throw a rock through the window of the business, and then reportedly threw a rock at employees before leaving the area, police said.
A short time later, after a brief foot chase, the 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon and for outstanding warrants he had. He was held for bail.
Audience intoxication
Police received a tip that a man was passed out on Grand Avenue on Thursday.
The responding officers found the man unconscious. He was believed he was intoxicated by alcohol and unable to care for himself, police said.
The 50-year-old Chatham man was taken to headquarters, where he was lodged until sober.
