A 40-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with stunt driving after police say the driver was traveling at twice the posted speed limit.
Brant OPP say an officer conducted a traffic stop on King Street in the village of Oakland on Feb. 24 at about 9:15 pm
Police say the driver was traveling more than 100 km-h in a posted 50 km-h zone.
The accused is charged with stunt driving and speeding. The driver’s license has been suspended for 30 days and their vehicle has been impounded for 14 days.
Two-sided charges of impaired driving
Two drivers are facing impaired charges after Brant OPP responded to recent traffic complaints.
A 40-year-old Tillsonburg man was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) after police arrested him on Highway 403 in the County of Brant on Sunday at about 7:30 pm
On Feb. 23 at about 7 pm officers were called to a head-on collision on Oakland Road. There were no reported injuries.
A 24-year-old Waterloo man is charged with operation while impaired — alcohol or drugs; and operation while impaired—blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
