Man charged in connection to death of Brayden Ferrall

Another person has been charged in connection to the death of Brayden Ferrall.

Baron Brading-Searles, 28, of Brantford has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder, Brantford Police Service said in a release on Friday night.

Brading-Searles remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

In June, police charged Kathleen Bacon, 26, of Brantford with being an accessory after the fact to murder in Ferrall’s death.

Ferrall, 22, was reported missing to police after he was last seen by friends on Feb. 18. On March 28, police said foul play was suspected in his disappearance.

On May 3, Brant OPP found Ferrall’s body in the area of Campbell Road and Old Onondaga Road East.

“The Brantford Police Service, Major Crime Unit continues to investigate this matter as a homicide. At this time, police are unable to release further details surrounding the nature of the homicide and the investigative process as this is an active and on-going homicide investigation,” police said in Friday’s release.

Bacon is also facing attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting on Feb. 2 at a Niagara Falls hotel.

A man was shot at the Howard Johnson Express Inn on Lundy’s Lane. Police have described the shooting as a targeted incident.
