A man faces charges following a weapons investigation southwest of St. Thomas.

Police responded on Sunday at about 1:05 am to a report of shots fired from an all-terrain vehicle and a truck on Furnival Road in West Elgin, where officers arrived and located the suspect vehicles, Ontario Provincial Police in Elgin County said on Monday .
A West Elgin man, 50, is charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order, driving while prohibited and driving a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock device. He is scheduled to appear in a St. Thomas court on Feb. 15.
Police also impounded a vehicle for 45 days.
Ontario Provincial Police investigating trailer fire
Police are investigating a trailer fire at a property east of London.
Emergency crews were called Sunday around 4:17 am to a recreational trailer ablaze at a rural property on Catherine Street in Thames Centre, Middlesex OPP said Monday.

The trailer wasn’t occupied and nobody was injured, police said. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal is assisting in the investigation.

Teen charged with uttering threats after being denied entry
A teenager faces charges after an employee at a downtown Aylmer business was threatened, police say.
Aylmer police were called to a downtown business on Thursday around 9:45 pm for a report of a suspect making threats to a worker who wouldn’t let the person into the establishment, police said Monday.
A 15-year-old male is charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
