A Chatham resident faces charges after a person was hurt in a clash with a man with a knife, Chatham-Kent police say.
Officers called to Grand Avenue East Thursday afternoon learned an individual was walking when a man approached him, holding a knife in a threatening manner, police said. A verbal and physical clash ensued, in which the walker suffered bodily injury.
Officers arrested a suspect in the area a short time later, police said.
A Chatham man, 41, is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault causing bodily harm. He was released with conditions and a short date.
