Chatham-Kent police have charged a man after a disturbance with his mother.

The man had an outstanding warrant for reportedly failing to attend court. He was on conditions not be at the address on Talbot Trail in Wheatley where the disturbance took place, police said.

He was released on the current warrant and charged with failing to comply with a release order. He was released with a short date.

Suspicious person charged

A suspicious person was reportedly witnessed rummaging through a vehicle on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, it was found a man was reportedly on conditions not to be in the area or around another person as a result of a previous court release, police said.

The man was charged with failing to comply with a release order and held for a bail hearing.

Impaired driving load ugly

A vehicle was witnessed driving erratically in a parking lot in a commercial property on St Clair Street in Chatham.

The motorist reportedly drove over curbs and swerved all over the road as it entered the roadway, police said. A citizen contacted police and the vehicle was stopped.

The woman was arrested and taken to headquarters, where she twice registered the legal limit, police said. She was charged and released with a short date.
