Chatham-Kent police took a man into custody after responding to an incident on Park Lane in Chatham on Friday.
Police said an argument took place, resulting in police being called when it escalated.
The accused allegedly made threats towards a woman and damaged a vehicle, police said.
The man was arrested and charged with assault, utter threats to cause bodily harm, mischief and threats to burn personal property, police said.
The accused was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing, police said.
Police investigating break-ins
Chatham-Kent police are seeking the public’s help to find suspects involved in two break-ins in Chatham.
Police were called to a business on Queen Street around 5 am Saturday where the front window had been smashed.
The suspects entered the business and fled before officers arrived. The area was searched and no one was located.

Police were also called after a Faubert Drive resident arrived home in the mid-afternoon on Friday and saw a bicycle outside the residence.
A male suspect fled on the bicycle with property from the house, police said.
The area was checked and the male could not be found.
