Man charged after Chatham doggy brook

A dispute over a dog peeing in a flower bed to an assault charge in Chatham, police said.

Chatham-Kent police were called to an address on McNaughton Avenue West on Tuesday where one person and a man had argued about the man’s dog relieving itself, they said. The person was recording the incident when the accused allegedly grabbed the phone and threw it the ground, damaging the phone.

Things escalated when the man allegedly assaulted the other person, police said.

A Chatham man, 45, is charged with mischief and assault.
