A man was buried under a large amount of snow in Lindvallen in Sälen. A major rescue operation is underway.
– It has happened in connection with a cottage. Snow may have fallen from a roof, says Lars Hedelin, press spokesperson at the police, to TV4 Nyheterna.
The rescue service was alerted to the scene, a helicopter from Norway is also on its way to help in the rescue work, writes the TV channel.
– It took 40 minutes to dig him out, but he has been loaded now, says Lars Hedelin.
The police describe the rescue work as extensive. The man has not yet been identified. The extent of the damage is currently unclear.
