Man bets his wife a lot of money that she won’t be able to finish Elden Ring: This is how it turned out

Mastering Elden Ring is a real challenge. A husband offered his wife a $1,000 bet if she succeeded. Now there is a result.

Some time ago, an Elden Ring fan drew attention to himself in the appropriate subreddit when he reported a bet with his wife.

This was the bet:

How did the bet turn out? The wife managed the feat of playing through Elden Ring – even though she is not an “experienced gamer,” as her husband reported on Reddit. That’s why he was actually quite optimistic that he would win the bet.

But he doesn’t see it as a real defeat, as he told the GamesRadar portal, because basically he just wanted his wife to try the game: “It was definitely an excuse, and it was worth it. “I enjoy watching her play and I wanted her to have an experience like I had,” said the player known as “Jamer.”

But how did she manage that? After all, Elden Ring isn’t exactly a typical entry-level game. She also reported how it worked in an interview with GamesRadar.

High level to grab Elden Ring

As the woman says, it was quite “painful” and there was a rage quit every day, but she kept coming back. She actually doesn’t play that often, which is why she found it difficult to understand everything that was happening on the screen.

But Elden Ring wasn’t difficult enough to make her give up. Instead, she aimed for a high-stat build capable of destroying more or less everything in one hit: “I basically have no gaming sense, like. B. Dodge and shields, so I overleveled to oneshot enemies”.

Jamer also reports that of the 99 hours it took his wife to finish, she only spent about 40 hours leveling, collecting runes and continuing to work on improving her stats.

She carried a shield with her in fights, but didn’t use it against bosses. Instead, she used heavy attacks and spells: “I had a shield in my hand, but I never used it during the boss fight,” she says. “I only used heavy dexterity attacks and spells. The Shard Coil saved my life in the end to defeat the Elden Beast.”

Radagon, the Elden Beast and the Fire Giant were particularly difficult for her. The latter took her a long time to overcome, but when she defeated him, her husband suspected that this bet was going to pay off.

When she finally defeated the game’s final boss, Jamer was in the next room and came over when he heard the cheers: “I celebrated with her, addressed her as ‘Elden Lord’ and thought about how I could give her the reward.”

Recently, a streamer also drew attention when he took on Elden Ring: Kai Cenat on Twitch set off on a journey through the intermediate lands and needed over 165 hours and over 1,700 deaths to complete his entire run. The whole thing became a big event on Twitch, and fans watched with thieving joy as the game pushed the streamer to its limits again and again. What experiences have you had with Elden Ring?
