– We received several calls at 11:07 p.m. that the man was hit by a car on Pettersbergsgatan in Västerås, and by all accounts it seems to have happened on purpose, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press officer at police region Mitt.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries by ambulance.
– We have started an investigation regarding attempted murder or serious assault, but at the moment we have no one detained, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
The police are asking the public to be aware of a small dark car that has probably been damaged after the accident.
