A man in his 50s is seriously injured after being attacked with a knife at Håstahöjden in Hudiksvall, according to the police.
Police were alerted to the scene at 5pm on Sunday afternoon after information that a man had been stabbed in the arm with a sharp object.
Once in place, the man who was bleeding heavily was found and he was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was operated on on Sunday.
– He should have been awake and talkable but I can not comment (further) on the injury situation. The criminal classification is currently aggravated assault, says Anders Holm, officer at the central police region.
A major police operation was carried out on Sunday but no person has yet been arrested for the attack.
