A Brampton man has been charged after an Oxford County firm was allegedly defrauded of more than $75,000 two years ago, provincial police say.
In December 2021, a Norwich Township business told police an electronic invoice for more than $75,000 had been intercepted two months earlier, Oxford OPP said.
A suspect was identified after a long OPP, Smith Falls police and Canadian Anti-Fraud Center probe, police said.
A man was arrested at Toronto Pearson Airport Wednesday, Feb. 15, police said.
A Brampton man, 24, faces charges including fraud over $5,000, possessing property obtained by crime and money laundering.
