A 34-year-old man has been arrested on probable cause on suspicion of several cases of rape, burglary and theft. The suspected crimes are said to have taken place in Motala during June and July, the Public Prosecutor’s Office states in a press release.
The man was arrested after a woman reported that someone had tried to enter her home. In connection with the arrest, suspicions of further crime were raised. It is about the man earlier in the summer having entered two other women’s homes and raped them. He is also suspected of theft from another woman’s home.
The police will now conduct further interrogations with the man and various technical investigations.
