The man in his 20s who is suspected of the murder of an employee at a nursing home in Enköping has been detained by the Västmanland district court.
The court has also decided on a forensic psychiatric examination, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
He has previously admitted that he killed the woman, who worked at the group home in Enköping where the man lived. The police were called there on Thursday afternoon, after the man himself called 112. The woman was found dead at the scene, and the man was arrested.
In addition to the criminal investigation, the incident is also being investigated by specialist prosecutors within the work environment, to find out if there were any shortcomings in the workplace in connection with the incident. The Work Environment Agency has also launched an investigation.
